Every so often, the world give you exactly what you need, exactly when you need it – and this session was that for me. Gretchen’s grandmother reached out to me in March, right as the pandemic was closing in on the world.

In a world, far far away, about a week prior to the world shutting down, I had the incredible opportunity to work with one of my favorite St. Louis creatives, Collections by Joya, on their Spring Sample Sale event. If you’ve yet to attend a Joya event, you are honestly missing out on an incredibly thoughtful and beautifully curated experience, one that I’ve never seen done quite like these ladies do it.

A year and a half ago it was a chilly April day, and I was walking down the isle towards my soon-to-husband at one of the most incredible wedding venue’s Missouri has to offer – Little Piney. Resting in the woods off a gravel, Little Piney, as a venue, offers more than a place for you to say your vows, it gives you a place to nurture the seeds of your life moving forward.

Probably my second favorite thing to shoot – Blogger Sessions. Why you ask? Well, to put it simply, lots of fun outfits and lots of room to to create. When Kayla reached out to me at the beginning of the summer, I knew instantly, and after a little bit of Instagram stalking let’s be honest, that she and I were going to work together p e r f e c t l y.
